Gray Charter School Safe Return Plan

Governor Murphy has ordered that at the start of the 2021-22 academic year, all schools in the state will return to full in-person instruction for all students. The Gray Charter School's Safe Return Plan was developed in accordance with the Governors orders and in line with guidelines from the NJ Department of Education, the CDC, and state and local health departments. The posting of the plan on the school's website begins a 10-day comment period. All comments should be sent to comments@graycharterschool.com by June 30, 2021.

Statement About Drinking Water

The Gray Charter School is not affected by the recent concerns regarding elevated amounts of lead that was discovered in some of the city’s water supplies. The State Department of Education understands that lead in drinking water continues to be an issue within local school communities and has worked in collaboration with the State Department of Health and the Department of Environmental Protection, to create a back-to-school package of resources for school districts to use regarding testing for lead in school drinking water and educating families on prevention, screening, and intervention related to lead exposure.
